Instructor

Kara began her childhood activities at 3 years old doing gymnastics. At 11 years old, she followed in her sister’s footsteps and joined All-Star Cheer. She cheered at Ultimate Spirit Athletics (USA) and later at Maryland Twisters. Fast forward to when she was in graduate school, she was on Florida International University’s sideline and competition squads. Since graduating, she has been coaching at Maryland Twisters- Gaithersburg, coaching levels 1-6, both prep and elite, and has loved every moment of it.

Tumbling Instructor

“Coach Will” grew up playing baseball since the age of 5 throughout high school. He began cheering while in high school in 2000 on an All-Star team in his hometown in Cayey, Puerto Rico. In 2002 he began cheering for the top All-Star team at the time in Puerto Rico “Puerto Rico All-Stars” while also cheering for his college team “University Of Puerto Rico Cayey”.

He was trained by former competitive gymnast and now gymnastics coach Alexis Moreno in the tumbling aspect of cheer. It was at that time where his passion for the sport kept growing and decided to take on a coaching roll to inspire young athletes not only in the sport but guide them in life. Will was a former competitive gymnastics Coach at what was “Ocala Elite” for the disciplines of Floor/Bars/Vault in 2006-07. One of his favorite things as a coach is seeing athletes that he coached continue to grow in the sport and taking their talents and competing at Cheerleading Worlds as well as now being coaches themselves. He is qualified to train all levels in cheer and tumbling and is USASF certified levels 1-6 in Building and Tumbling. He cheered for “Starz Elite” out of Puerto Rico Lvl 5 and International Spirit All-Stars Puerto Rico Lvl 6 teams at Worlds 2010 & 2011. He has trained athletes who have made College teams such as UCF, USF, FSU, GA, AL etc. He has competed against and with some of the best cheerleaders in the world throughout the years and is considered to be an Elite Co-Ed Stunter.

Instructor

​Marla was born and raised in New Smyrna Beach, FL. She started cheering at the age of 3 doing all star and high school cheer. Graduating high school, she earned a full scholarship for college cheer. She has coached high school cheer at New Smyrna Beach High School and also all star cheer. Her teams have won numerous competitions, championships and grand champion titles. Her favorite part of coaching is not about the rings or trophies, it’s when the teams give it their all and leave it all on the mat knowing that no matter what, their coaches are proud.

Instructor

Kory has had a passion for cheerleading since she was a little girl. Growing up, she cheered both all-star and high school cheer. She has over 15 years experience coaching all-star and recently started a cheer program at the school she teaches at. She is a proud mom of 2 stellar athletes (Jayda and Stevie) and wife of Steve. On the weekends, you can catch her at the baseball field (if not at the gym).

Instructor

At the age of 10, she began cheering for her school. She cheered on the Middle school team, Junior Varsity team, and the Varsity team! While in high school, she was also a competitive cheerleader. She cheered with the Florida Wildcat Allstar team for a couple of years and then transferred to Brandon Allstars where she competed with both level 5 teams: Brandon Senior Pink and Brandon Senior Black.
